FAQs

1. What is the difference between the ‘M’ and ‘F’ shoe sizes?
Male and female shoe sizes in the UK differ slightly. Please refer to our size chart below to select your desired size. If you are a half size or fall halfway between a category, please always purchase the size up. For example, if you are a 7.5, we would recommend a size 8.

2. How long should I wear the insoles for to begin with?
Please begin by wearing the insoles for no more than an hour at a time. After a few days, gradually build up how long you wear the insoles for until you reach a point where you are comfortable wearing them for multiple hours at a time. This process can take a couple of weeks so please be patient.

3. Am I able to use WalkFit if I have plantar fasciitis?
Yes - WalkFit Orthotics are scientifically proven to help realign your body by adjusting the position of your foot to help relieve foot, leg, knee, hip and lower back pain.

4. How long should I wait until I stop using the insoles if I’m feeling any pain?
In some cases WalkFit Orthotics may be uncomfortable to begin with as your feet get used to them but if you feel any significant pain please stop using the insoles immediately.

5. Can WalkFit orthotics be used with other insoles which I already have in my shoes?
Please remove all other shoe inserts before using WalkFit Orthotics. Some trainers come with built in arch supports which should be removed to receive the full benefit of WalkFit Orthotics.

6. How do I know whether to use the low, medium or high insert?
Please begin by using the low insert and gradually working your way up through the sizes. Should you reach a point where you feel completely comfortable, then continue to wear that insole, even if it’s the ‘low’ insert.

7. What is the smallest/largest size that you stock in WalkFit?
Our smallest size stocked in the UK is EU36/37 and the largest size is an EU45.

8. Can the insoles be inserted into any style of shoe or are they mainly for trainers?
WalkFit Platinum Orthotics can be inserted into all types of shoe.

9. Can you wear WalkFit Orthotics in flat slippers and high heels?
Neither of these types of footwear are ideal for wearing with any type of orthotic product. Although WalkFit can be worn with anything with a solid heal in it, you will not really gain any benefit to wearing WalkFit with heels due to your foot being in a different position.

10. My shoes wear down on the outside of each heel, will these correct my foot position so this does not occur?
WalkFit Orthotics are scientifically proven to help realign your body by adjusting the position of your foot to help relieve foot, leg, knee, hip and lower back pain.

11. Do these insoles work to reduce over pronation or supination?
WalkFit Orthotics are scientifically proven to help realign your body by adjusting the position of your foot to help relieve foot, leg, knee, hip and lower back pain.

12. How are these secured into the shoe so they do not slip around, and do they move inside the shoe as one walks?
The patented heel cup and chevron design of the bottom of the insoles ensure they do not slide around within your shoe.
